Wishing for Winter and Chasing Spring

We’re one week away from spring and the skies shift from snow to sun nearly every day. This is the time of year when I desperately hope for a huge snowstorm because I know winter will soon melt into spring and chances for snowy camera walks will soon disappear. At the same time, I am ready for sunny skies and melting ice – even if it means a little mud. The beauty of living in Norway: You can almost always find snow, if you really want it, and early spring is a great time to enjoy winter and spring simultaneously. The sun rises a little higher in the sky, the days quickly grow longer, and there is still good skiing. Happy spring! (Romeriksåsene, Skedsmokorset, Norway)
