I found quiet spaces to draw in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. I enjoyed wandering until I could see only the top spires of the cathedral in the distance. Then I sat and created a pencil sketch, taking creative license when I wanted to simplify my view. Sometimes I’d return another day with my watercolour paints to finish my creation. Often I would find a new place to sit outside, painting from memory.
