Pulsatilla vernalis

Pulsatilla vernalis: Pasque-flower, Arctic Violet, Lady of the Snows, Mogop. The flowers appear in early spring, often popping out of the snow. Here’s a solitary bloom against views of Rondane National Park (and the iconic lime-green lichen in this area, important food for reindeer). Based on my photo from a day trip in May 2021 and further inspired by the colour combination Cherry Blossom Pink and Jade.
