FLOW logo commission by Institutt for energiteknikk ©2020 Marie Preston

Researchers in the solar energy department at Institutt for energiteknikk (IFE) in Norway contracted me for a logo for their research project. The project, a collaboration with international partners, is developing floating solar panel systems. The team wanted a unified image to use when presenting their work. Partner logos were provided by the companies themselves.

Floating solar power, or photo-voltaics (PV), are installed on inland water bodies. Floating PV systems have an increased efficiency over land- or building-based systems from the natural cooling effect of the water below the solar cells. Learn more about FLOW on their website.
