I travelled a narrow alleyway and found this oasis of green in the middle of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. I entered a small community garden, where two chairs under an old oak tree welcomed me to sit and draw. I listened to the soft sounds of a gardener trimming a hedge with old-school metal hand shears while I created. I finished the painting during stay as Artist in Residence in Folldal, Norway in October 2022.
